There's usually some point between sales forecasts and finished goods leaving the warehouse where someone has to step in and plan capacity , schedule work centers and get the right materials in the right place at the right time. And that's exactly what SAP Production Planning (PP) does, which is what this SAP PP certification training course is all about teaching.
This SAP PP online training covers the whole Production Planning module from the ground up, you'll start with master data like the Bill of Materials, Work Centres, and Routing before moving on to Sales and Operations Planning (SOP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP). Next you'll delve into production order processing, capacity planning and shop floor control, all within an SAP S/4HANA environment, which is the same place most manufacturing companies are either already running from or looking to migrate to right now.
What's different about this SAP PP course compared to most theoretical walkthroughs is the emphasis on integration. And as anyone who's been in a manufacturing plant knows production planning almost never happens in a bubble. It's constantly talking to Materials Management (MM) for procurement, Sales and Distribution (SD) for demand and Quality Management (QM) for inspection and release. The two modules play off each other since PP generates the demand that MM has to fulfil through procurement. We cover the integration between the two directly. If you already have SAP MM experience then some of your knowledge around material master data and stock movements will transfer over which is one reason MM to PP is a common career path for consultants looking to broaden their skill set.
